Focus is on identification, medicinal value, uses and harvesting and preparing of plants.

Thriving in Glacier’s riparian, meadow, and old growth habitats are many important medicinal herbs. This course will focus on identification, medicinal value, and native and historic uses of plants such as Devil’s Club and “Grandmother” Cedar. If you are also interested in learning how to harvest and prepare medicinal herbs, be sure to sign up for Making Wild Herbal Medicines, June 29. All harvesting will be done outside of the park to preserve Glacier’s resources.
